A fantastic line-up of stand-up comedy in The Kimberley at the historic Bushranger Hotel in Collector, featuring some of Canberra’s finest and funniest acts – Tom Gibson, Chris Ryan, Jeremy Smith and Caitlin Maggs.
Tom Gibson – Tom Gibson is a comedian with a wide range of experience in a number of creative fields. He possesses very few practical skills, which may be a result of avoiding non-creative activities his whole life or just because he spends so much of his time daydreaming. Tom has performed his mad brand of stand-up comedy in comedy clubs and festivals across Australia for over a decade, including at the Melbourne, Sydney and Canberra comedy festivals.
Chris Ryan – A journalist, a Mum and a comedian, Chris Ryan’s take on everything from passive aggressive co-workers to romance earned her a Best Newcomer at the Sydney Comedy Festival in 2019 and a Best Newcomer Nomination at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival in 2021. Chris’s stand up is based on her life and the people in it, making it real and relatable, delivered in her signature understated, laconic style. If you’re looking for a song and dance, you’re not getting it. She’s performed on TV in the Melbourne International Comedy Festival’s Oxfam Gala (2022) and Opening Night Comedy Allstars Supershow (2023) as well as Just for Laughs Gala in Melbourne (2022).
Caitlin Maggs – Caitlin Maggs is the ACT 2021 National Raw Comedy Finalist and regularly features in comedy shows around Canberra.
Jeremy Smith – Jeremy has been a regular on the Canberra comedy circuit for the last 4 years and has performed in Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, and Launceston. He was an ACT Raw Comedy finalist in 2022 and 2023 and is now bringing his maiden solo show to the 2024 Canberra comedy festival.
