Chris Marlton is returning to the the Canberra Theatre Centre this October with three of his favourite characters. Prepare to journey to the past, under the ocean and into an imagined future in this hilarious new show from the comedian reviewed as having “an amazing talent bringing characters to life and impeccable accents to match” (Eventalaide).
You’ll get to know Mama America, the 17,000-year-old Kentucky woman who has vivid and borderline erroneous memories from America’s past. From religious magazines to politically powered sugar, Mama gets comfortable with the crowd and the crowd gets comfortable with her.
You’ll be charmed by Davy Bluetooth, the world famous rapper, writer, poet, playwright and environmentalist, as he regales the crowd with how his first two albums were made, and how he transitioned from poverty in South London to swimming with stingrays off the coast of Southern California.
And you’ll be laughing until your guts are sore with Gareth Mosley, the entitled, resourceful and experienced Aussie comic you know and possibly love. Gareth’s crowd work is second-to-none, as he talks about hot baths, buying birthday presents and stealing everything else.
Chris Marlton delivers an innovative brand of comedy, with bravado, precision and charisma. A one-man gala, Chris brings colourful, uniquely hilarious characters to the stage. Packed full of sharp observations, flawlessly performed accents and surprising conclusions, Chris will take you on a journey without having to leave your seat.
