August in Canberra can be bitterly cold, as can our feature act this month, Chris Ryan. A proud Canberran, Chris has become a fixture on the national touring comedy scene in Australia. She was handpicked as the national support act for UK comedian, Jen Brister (Reactive 2025) and for Judith Lucy and Kaz Cook’s national tour (Kaz & Jude’s Menopausal Night Out 2023-2024). Chris has three comedy specials streaming on YouTube and is touring her fifth festival show, Extreme Tenant, in 2026.
