It has been a busy year for comedy in Canberra, with our first ever Canberra Comedy Festival in March. The festival hosted a range of local, interstate, and international comedians performing over 28 shows, selling a massive 90% capacity for a total box office of almost 4,000 tickets. The festival team is already busy planning for next year’s festival.

This month’s Youtube Sensation is Akmal. This clip is taken from 2006 Melbourne International Comedy Festival Gala and shows Akmal working the funny side of his ethnicity.
