Chris’s stand up is based on her life and the people in it\, making it real and relatable\, delivered in her signature understated\, laconic style. DESCRIPTION:A showcase of some Canberra comedy talent\, featuring 7 comedians presenting some of their finest material in a 1 hour show. Featuring Ethan Kirk\, Suma Iyer\, Daniel Mehareb\, Fateh Singh\, Laura Johnston\, Cameron Ribbons and Scott Hawkins. \nEthan Kirk – One of the youngest comics going around and is a regular in the Canberra comedy scene. As well as being a RAW state finalist\, Ethan was a National Finalist in the Melbourne Comedy Festivals ‘Class Clowns’ competition. Offering a unique perspective on being young in todays world\, he’s sure to have you in stitches! \nSuma Iyer – Takes her already unhealthy obsession with the minutiae of everyday life to some weird places\, including: her cats’ love lives\, mattress ghosts\, and the emancipatory potential of detachable showerheads. Her comedic style has the urgency and intensity of a woman with IBS who is still minutes away from her front door. It could all go quite badly. \nDaniel Mehareb – Daniel is a young and energetic 23 year old comedian who has been popping all over the Canberra comedy scene for the past few years. \nFateh Singh – Fateh only does stand-up to please his parents while nurturing a longing to be a prominent Tax Accountant. When not performing comedy\, he likes to write wistful poetry\, play the bass\, and practice pronouncing his own name. \nLaura Johnston – You don’t see a musical comedian who can’t read music everyday! Laura is also 0.5cm taller than her mother and an aspiring e-sports commentator. Ask her about e-fishing\, she dares you. \nCameron Ribbons – The reviews are in on Cameron and they are nothing short of spectacular. ‘Not funny’ – Mum. ‘Leave me alone’ – Dad. ‘Cash or card?’ – local Woolies worker. \nScott Hawkins – Office Worker\, Comedian\, Fast Food Drive Thru Philosopher? DESCRIPTION:THIS EVENT IS SOLD OUT \nCanberra Comedy Club is presenting a couple of special shows at Transit Bar this September! \nThe Wednesday 28 September show features Australian comedy legend Dave O’Neil\, with Emo Parsonson in the MC role\, and supporting sets from Tom Gibson\, Sue Stanic and Ethan Kirk. \nDave O’Neil has been doing comedy for 30 years\, you may have seen him on TV shows such as The Project\, Hughsey We have a Problem\, Fisk and Have you been Paying Attention. But he is most well known as the guest who has appeared the most times on Spicks and Specks\, having been on a huge 67 times!  He hosts several podcasts including Somehow Related with Glenn Robbins and The Junkees with Kitty Flanagan. His last book ’The Summer of ’82’ was almost a best seller. DESCRIPTION:Canberra Comedy Club is presenting a couple of special shows at Transit Bar this September! \nThe Wednesday 21 September show features UK/Australian comedy legend Jeff Green\, with Carlo Ritchie in the MC role\, and supporting sets from Taylor Coughtrie\, Laura Johnston and Chris Marlton. \nAward-winning British comedian Jeff Green has been a much-loved presence on Australian TV and radio since he first hit our shores in 1996 for his debut Melbourne International Comedy Festival season. Now resident (he has an Australian wife\, some have accused him of social climbing\, but he disputes that)\, Jeff is hugely in demand in Australia\, the UK\, Europe and Asia. His impressive stand-up comedy background features a solo West-End season\, three full length UK TV comedy specials\, two Australian TV comedy specials\, and countless appearances on TV gala specials and comedy panel shows both here and in the UK – including Spicks and Specks (ABC)\, Good News Week (Ten) and the Melbourne International Comedy Festival Gala (Ten). \nCarlo Ritchie is an improviser\, actor and writer. As one half of acclaimed improv comedy duo The Bear Pack\, he has sold out tours both at home and abroad\, notably at the Edinburgh Fringe and the invite only Cat Laughs festival in Ireland. Carlo has performed stand-up across his native Australia even as far as the remote desert opal town of Andamooka\,  the comedy capital of South Australia. As a complete disclaimer\, most of his stand up centres around the sinking of the RMS Titanic in 1912 or as we say in the business\, the ‘comedy goldmine’. In addition to being a regular guest in Dictionary Corner on SBS Australia’s Celebrity Letters and Numbers\,  his television credits include ABC’s Mikki Versus the World and Prank You Very Much and A Beginners Guide to Grief for SBS on demand. Carlo wrote and performed for the ABCs Lockdown comedy success Home Alone Together and is currently a writer for children’s television institution\, Play School. \nTransit Bar are doing a special deal for pre-show meals at $19.
