Daniel Connell made his comedy debut in the Canberra heat of the 2008 Green Faces Competition. In a performance that was warmly received by the audience it was apparent that this lad from Batemans Bay had a talent for laid back Australian humor. He subsequently became a popular mainstay of the Canberra comedy scene, regularly performing at venues such as the Civic Pub Comedy Cub, Filthy McFadden’s, The Phoenix Bar, The Front and PJ O’Reilly’s.
Daniel returned to Green Faces in 2009, and throughout his performance it was clear he was a crowd favorite, so much so that the audience voted him the winner of the Canberra heat then on September 3rd Daniel placed third in the Green Faces National Final.
In his short comedy career Daniel has also performed in competitions such as Red Card Comedy at The Roxbury Hotel in Sydney and Triple J’s Raw Comedy, he has also supported Comedians Damian Callinan and Joel Ozborn.
Danel was also a member of the show Capital Punishment that played 16 shows at The Melbourne Town Hall during the 2010 Melbourne International Comedy Festival.
